My Approach to Design
Co-creation
Every project I take on begins the same way—with a conversation. I ask questions to build relationships, to get to know my client’s hopes and goals, and to create a truly collaborative environment. You know your needs best; it’s my job to learn about those needs and help dream up a creative solution.
Transparency
It may seem obvious, but I believe transparent communication throughout the design process is essential. I create detailed project timelines and offer design rationale along with my presentations for feedback. I make sure we have clear and shared expectations at each stage of a project.
Empowerment
At the end of a project, I want you to feel empowered to use the assets we created. I leave you with the tools and guidance you will need to successfully implement your designs in the future.
I have been called a wizard and a unicorn, but really, I’m just a hardworking designer who prioritizes honest communication.

I believe that visuals hold powers of persuasion. And, I believe that designers have considerable responsibility in how they wield that power. I hope to use my “design powers” to support companies and organizations working to make the world a better place. I bring my values to each project, incorporating personal commitments to: work towards social justice, lead with compassion, and learn by asking questions and thinking critically.
After working in agencies, in-house studios, and non-profits for 10 years, I’ve decided to branch out on my own. I love problem solving and I take pride in arriving at a creative solution to any design challenge—big or small.
